India beat Pakistan 3-2 in Asian Champions Trophy

Kuantan (Malaysia), Oct 23. Indian Hockey Team scored a stupendous 3-2 triumph over arch-rivals and defending champions Pakistan in their third round preliminary league match at the Asian Champions Trophy hockey competition.

Pardeep Mor, Rupinder Pal Singh and Ramandeep Singh scored the goals.

With this win, India bagged the crucial three points to leap to the top of the points table with seven points from three matches. India will now take on China on Tuesday.

India exhibited their composed defence when was under pressure from early Pakistan offensive but worked hard and gained control of the tournament at the Kuantan Hockey Stadium.

Young striker Pradeep Mor scored his maiden goal in 13 international appearances to give India the lead. With this win, India bagged the crucial three points to leap to the top of the points table with seven points from three matches.

India will now take on China on Tuesday.
