That message came alive as the Mayor of Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council, Councillor Tushar Kumar, hosted the 1st Annual Mayoral Garden Party, bringing together residents, community leaders and supporters for an afternoon dedicated to charity, unity and public service.
The event was far more than a social gathering. It reflected a vision of compassionate leadership, with funds raised contributing directly to the mayor’s chosen charity for the year, WD6 Food Support, helping local families facing hardship. By placing community welfare at the heart of his mayoral year, Councillor Kumar has demonstrated that public office is ultimately about serving those most in need.
