OFBJP UK Marks BJP’s 47th Foundation Day with Grand Celebrations in London

London, UK – 11 April 2026: Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) UK – London proudly celebrated the 47th Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The event brought together community leaders, distinguished guests, and members of the Indian diaspora to commemorate the occasion.

The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial diya, followed by a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram by Pooja Bhanot, setting a respectful and inspiring tone for the programme.

A key highlight of the event was a thoughtfully curated exhibition on Integral Humanism, showcasing the ideological foundation and guiding principles of the party. The exhibition was widely appreciated by attendees and sparked engaging and meaningful discussions.

The event was graced by prominent dignitaries, including OFBJP Europe Convenor Shri Shishir Bajoria ji and Lord Rami Ranger. Also in attendance were Pt. Satish Sharma , Advisor Suresh Mangala Giri, former OFBJP President Dr Ambekar and Kuldeep Sekhwat  along with several other distinguished guests.

During the programme, OFBJP UK marked an important milestone with the launch of its new official website and the initiation of a digital membership drive, aimed at expanding outreach and strengthening engagement within the diaspora community.

OFBJP UK Convenor Bikram Banerjee shared the organisation’s vision and roadmap for the future, emphasising unity, cultural connection, and the active participation of the Indian diaspora in further strengthening India–UK relations.

The event was eloquently hosted by Dr Gyan Sharma, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Chinu Kishore.

The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of OFBJP core team members, including Sh. Shashikant Patel, Hirdesh Gupta, Rajesh Viswakarma, Raaj Devarapu, and Deepak Patel, along with numerous committed karyakartas such as Manoj Verma, Vaishali , Harini , Kunal Thakkar, Prajwal Biswas, Prajan Sharma, and Vishwanath, among others.

The celebration concluded on a high note with the National Anthem, reflecting the strong spirit, unity, and commitment of the Overseas Friends of BJP in the United Kingdom.
