British Hindus, along with the rest of United Kingdom, are deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the sudden demise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. More recently her health was a cause of concern to her doctors. She passed away peacefully, onto the onward journey to Her Maker.
We pray to The Supreme Prabrahma to grant her Divine Soul eternal peace.
We know that these thoughts are in the minds of all her subjects, and that prayers are being offered for Her eternal peace at temples all over the country.
Yes, Ma’am is no more, but her steadfast, inspiring and long reign steered the country with dignity towards world-wide respect. She was the rock of modern nation, the United Kingdom, as it stands today.
She had carved a unique place in the annals of British history, and will be remembered for her profound strength of character, overseeing the nation for all these years through tremendous sense of duty and service towards her country and subjects.
I had the personal honour and pleasure of being commanded to attend a Luncheon at the Buckingham Palace in 1993, and was left awe struck by her power of presence and knowledge she had about world affairs, and yet having a very down to earth persona. She was simply a world States Person, commanding respect from all corners of the Globe.
Under Her Reign, she had proclaimed that She was the Queen of all Faiths in the UK.
British Hindus, as much as they are saddened at the demise of Late Her Majesty, also pledge their sincere loyalty to His Majesty King Charles III, and offer prayers for his long reign, following in the inspiring footsteps of our beloved Queen.
