We live in crazy times and the world needs more support, more love and more empathy. “Creating social change through music that connects the hearts” — This was the high point of the memorable charity event (musical concert) organized by Inspiring Indian Women (IIW). The Charity event was organized to raise funds for Tea 24 disability foundation (Bihar)

The socially relevant and laudable cause drew support from various quarters including the High Commission of India in the UK. The programme was held at the prestigious venue of Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, London. Honourable Minister of Coordination Shri Manmeet Singh Narang, High Commission of India UK was the Chief Guest. The programme started with Prayer by Guest of Honours Shri Mattur Nandakumara · Executive Director at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Others among the Guests of Honours were MS Krishna Pujara CEO – Enfield-Saheli (Empowering Women to make Informed Choices), MS Sonoo Malkani Chair, Harrow Interfaith Society, Cllr Prabhakar Kaza Kenilworth South (Boreham wood ward)

Sreepriya Bhowmik a SEN Teacher spoke about the change in attitude towards Special needs., Padma Jain connected to loads of supporters, Tanisha Biswas sang a prayer song in Bengali, Shivani Gollapalli mesmerized the audience with two Bollywood songs, Special Rupal Trivedi from Harrow Care Plus made everyone sway with her dance on Ghoomer. Mother Mamta Karia spoke about her journey of bringing up a special daughter with learning difficulties and 22 chromosomes. Jishnu Biswas a victim of bullying connected emotionally as he read out a poem written by him on ‘Bullying’. The finale was superbly presented by Aritri Kundu, mentored by Tanushree Shankar from Anand Shankar Dance Troupe.

In a bid to celebrate World Disability Day, this concert was a commendable effort to create awareness for equal rights and opportunities for differently abled children or children with special needs. The funds raised from the concert will be mobilized to help the children gain a safe environment to learn and grow, such that they can adapt to the outside world and also create equal opportunities for All Abilities

This multi artist benefit concert left the audience mesmerized as some of the best music/ arts were presented on stage. The programme featured talented and gifted artists like Darshani Joshi (Joshi’s Sanskriti Guru Centre), Jayeeta Ghosh (Geetanjali Academy of fine Arts), Esha Ramesh (Vedika Academy for dance and music), Aritri Academy of dance, Jayanta Ray (Sangeet Foundation) and Raj Tiwari (Mangalam Hounslow). The stage glittered and sparkled with talented artists, mentors and gurus.  The Kids were the real stars of the show with almost 25 children from Geetanjali amongst which few with special needs, Narun Pardeshi, Tanish Menon, Anisha Sharma and Shiv Nair from Geetanjali Academy enchanted the audience with their solo performances, three children Aarnav Hastantram , Guru Kashyap,  Vihaan Patnaik along with Teacher Esha from Vedika enthralled the audience with more than an hour of variety of songs, including Carnatic Classical, Bhajans and Film songs both instrumental and vocal.

The organizing team at Bhavans left no stones unturned providing continuous support to ensure the smooth flow of the programme. The event was captured by Ammy Phull.
