First International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day at the Parliament House

Late celebrations of the first International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day took place in the Palace of Westminster (The Parliament House) on Wednesday 24 April 2019.

The event was sponsored by Sarah Jones MP, Central Croydon and Shadow Minister for Housing and Communities and hosted by Mayura Patel, Founder Director, Dynamic Women’s Foundation UK – a newly launched charity organisation by women for women which brought together 100+ women of all faiths and background.

Special chief guest, Jayantiben from Brahma Kumaris blessed the event and spoke about importance of spirituality in women.

Mayura-1There were empowering speeches by Charlotte Davies, Shubha Rao, Lade Olugbemi, Ragasudha Vinjamuri and Mayura Patel herself on various roles of women in today’s world and a small dance presentation by Ragasudha shedding light on divine motherhood.

Mayua-3The event was concluded by awarding recognition to young talents, Sharmin Malik, Shipra Khanna, Vivina Vincent, Swati Khandala, Anoushka Tanna and a special recognition to Deenaben Ganatra for their contributions in the community.
