BIJNOR: Acting on a tip-off that controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik‘s books were on the syllabus of a privately-run government-recognized school in Dhaki village of Bijnor, Bijnor’s basic shiksha adhikari sent a team and found the allegations to be “correct”. A notice has now been served to the school’s owner. Naik is facing multi-agency probe ever since Bangladesh said that Naik’s sermons had triggered terror attack in Dhaka in July 2016.

  • A book named ‘Ilm Un Nafe’ was being taught to the kids of Class II of the school
  • Naik is facing probe ever since Bangladesh said his sermons triggered 2016 Dhaka terror attack

Basic Shiksha Adhikari  Mahesh Chandra said, “On Friday, a team led by block education officer Shiv Kumar was sent to the village and found that a book named ‘Ilm Un Nafe’ was being taught to the kids of Class II. However, no copy of the book was found in the school. Later, the probe team questioned the owner of the school. He said that a book was being taught to the students of class II in which there was a chapter on Naik. But when he came to know about the row, he withdrew the book.”

  1. Naik is a dangerous person who should not be allowed in India nor any of his books, sermons etc should
    find way into the country.

  2. He is like a serpent poisoning minds of the innocents. Why was he allowed to reach this stage in the first place? Isn’t this similar to the hate preacher Anjem Choudhary here in Ilford, UK who lived amongst those who shielded him? Latter it was revealed that the London Bridge terrorists were in touch with him. I think one should look and inspect our own local libraries especially in boroughs like Newham, Tower Hamlets , Birmingham etc to find out any such books which denigrate other religions do not find their way because majority would not understand Arabic or Urdu
