Bollywood, which supposedly worships Gandhi’s Saatvik lifestyle, does not really seem to be abiding by his preachings. The day when the whole nation celebrates the birthday of Lal Bahadur Shastri and Mahatama Gandhi and abstains from tamasik activities, Bollywood stars were busy consuming drugs.
Aryan Khan held by NCB
According to a report by India today, Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan is being questioned by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
On the night of second October 2021, NCB raided a cruise ship which was termed as a musical voyage by the organisers. Fashion TV India and a Delhi-based company called Namascray Experience were the main organisers of the event. The event included around 100 people and the ticket for the same costed Rs 80,000 each. The ‘Musical voyage’ was planned to be a 3-day event starting from Mumbai and destined to reach Goa. However, things did not go according to the plan, and NCB raided the cruise ship on Saturday night. At least 10 people, including three women from Delhi, are said to be arrested and detained by NCB in the matter. Allegedly, one of the three women includes the daughter of a prominent businessman. The drugs (recovered by the officials) are said to be hashish, cocaine, and MDMA.
Bollywood-the hub of illegal activities
Bollywood, the global face of the Indian film Industry is mired by the problems of illegal drugs and sex trafficking. In the past, many stories of drug abuse of prominent stars such as Parveen Bobby, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Kangana Ranaut, and Mamata Kulkarni have circulated in the media. Recently, after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, his erstwhile girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty alleged him of being addicted to Marijuana. Interestingly, Rhea herself was arrested by the NCB for illegally possessing drugs.
Additionally, in 2019, a video of an alleged drug party was shared by Karan Johar on his Instagram handle. The party included stars like Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and RanbirKapoor. Later on, Karan Johar was summoned by NCB on a complaint by Manjinder Singh Sirsa, a Shiromani Akali Dal leader over the viral video.
The NCB is doing a commendable job in exposing all of these Bollywood celebrities. Being public figures, these stars hold a lot of influence over the young generation of our country. While many can see through their reality, many get attracted to the glory of the show business and fall into the trap of drug and alcohol abuse. As the nation is awakening to the reality of these Bollywood stars, law enforcement agencies and media should play a proactive role in exposing all of them.

It is sign of times that Bollywood displays the worse of elements and unlike olden days no principles or uplifting on e life
For SHE’S son to be caught red-handed I dictates the arrogance of these celebrity siblings and I’m glad that NCB nailed it
