The Rajasthan Association UK (TRA-UK), is holding its  Jeeman 2019, the annual cultural fest to celebrate the richness, food and fervor of Rajasthan. Grace this occasion with your presence on 23 June 2019 at Claremont High School, Harrow, London HA3 0UH.

Founded in 2016, the Rajasthan Association UK (TRA-UK) is an organisation to bring together the people originating from the fine state of Rajasthan, India, now settled in the United Kingdom. TRA-UK organizes events all year-round and provides an opportunity for people to share and explore their rich culture and heritage.

Over the last few months, TRA-UK volunteers have been dedicated in organizing Jeeman to ensure this event is a huge success. Our volunteers are working in a number of different areas, for example arranging the decorations, performances such as children’s fashion parade, food menu, media and social management and waste and housekeeping. Each of our volunteers want its attendees and honorable guests to experience something unique at Jeeman, so to experience this uniqueness, this year’s theme is Rajasthani desert, representing the golden sand dunes, and the most famous desert, the Thar Desert

For the last few months, TRA-UK members were under the spell of Jeeman 2019 event. Everyone in the TRA-UK family is excited. The traditional Rajasthani performances preparation, Rajasthani fashion show preparation for kids, decoration planning and food arrangements to sum up excitement is in the air. But it’s not just the performances, fashion show, decoration and food which bring happiness to our surroundings, it’s actually the sense of belonging aimed at bringing people together, bolstering community networks and forging ahead in new-found home in the United Kingdom, whilst retaining the strong and rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan.

The Rajasthan Association – UK members are not leaving any stone unturned while reaching out to Rajasthani community people. With all humility we are inviting people by using all platforms like Personal invites, Phones, Emails, Social media etc. This year Facebook Invitation challenge is the unique way adopted to invite people from Rajasthan living in UK, where members have to post the personal invitation photos as much as possible with different invitation.

We can’t overlook food while talking about Jeeman 2019 as Jeeman symbolises the social gathering of family, friends and people from the society for a traditional Rajasthani delicacy i.e. dal, baati and choorma.

The Rajasthan Association – UK volunteers are excited and working day and night to make this event a big success and working in different areas like Managing Decorations, Performance Management, Food Management, Media Management, Waste Management, Cleanliness.

The first edition of JEEMAN was attended by 450 members in 2016 and attendee numbers have increased year on year from 800 in 2017, followed by 1000 in 2018. JEEMAN 2019 is anticipated to be attended by around 1500 attendees and demonstrates TRA-UK’s strong presence in the local community and those living in and far beyond London.
