British Parliament hosts Navratri celebrations as World Book of Records honours three achievers

LONDON, October 2026 — The International Siddhashram Shakti Centre UK marked a significant milestone in its 25-year journey of spiritual guidance, community service and cultural engagement, receiving a special congratulatory message from the UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham in recognition of its contribution to community wellbeing and social harmony.

The Prime Minister described the anniversary as a “truly remarkable” achievement, praising the Centre’s commitment to “Unity in Diversity – To Connect Community” and its guiding philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — “the world is one family.” He also acknowledged the dedication of its spiritual leader, Sanatan Dharma Bhushan His Holiness Shri Rajrajeshwar Guruji Maharaj, along with its trustees, patrons and volunteers, whose collective efforts have helped shape the organisation over the past quarter century.

The celebrations also extended to the British Parliament, where Siddhashram UK commemorated Navratri in the presence of political representatives, spiritual leaders and community figures. The gathering highlighted the importance of Hindu cultural heritage, interfaith understanding and the enduring contribution of the Indian diaspora to British society, demonstrating how faith and culture can serve as powerful bridges between communities.

A key highlight of the parliamentary celebration was the recognition of three achievers by the World Book of Records: Harvinder “Siya” Jain of Victoria, Australia; Paul Smith of Hounslow, United Kingdom; and Sagar Narwat of Haryana, India. Their recognition celebrated excellence, dedication and the spirit of service, adding an international dimension to an event that united people from different countries and backgrounds under shared values of compassion and community.

The anniversary celebrations also reflected the Centre’s broader mission beyond religious observance. Over the past 25 years, the International Siddhashram Shakti Centre UK has organised cultural festivals, spiritual programmes, charitable initiatives and community outreach activities that have strengthened relationships across generations. Its emphasis on physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing has made it a valued institution for families seeking both cultural identity and community support within Britain’s diverse society.

The Prime Minister’s message, together with the prestigious parliamentary celebration, represents an important recognition of the Centre’s growing contribution to fostering social cohesion and cultural understanding in the United Kingdom. As Siddhashram UK looks towards its next chapter, the organisation remains committed to expanding its legacy of selfless service, interfaith harmony and community empowerment, ensuring that the timeless principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam continues to inspire future generations.

A celebration of faith, achievement and 25 years of community service — inspired by the belief that the world is one family.
