LONDON, UK: The Sardar Patel Memorial Society (SPMS) hosted a special event at the historic House of Lords in London to mark 25 years of public life of India’s Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, recognising his journey in public service, leadership and contribution to India.
The gathering brought together prominent community leaders and members of the Indian diaspora to commemorate this milestone and reflect on Shri Modi Ji’s journey in public life. The occasion also highlighted the enduring bonds between India, the United Kingdom and the global Indian community.

SPMS expressed its sincere gratitude to its Chairman, Lord Rami Ranger FRSA, for arranging and hosting the memorable event. His leadership and support were instrumental in bringing distinguished guests together for this significant occasion. In his address, Chairman of SPMS, highlighted India’s remarkable economic transformation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, including its rise from the world’s tenth-largest economy in 2014 to the fourth-largest in 2025. He emphasised the significance of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement in strengthening bilateral trade and investment, alongside the achievements of the Make in India initiative, advancements in India’s space programme, infrastructure development, digital transformation and technological innovation. He noted that these milestones reflect India’s growing global influence and its expanding opportunities for international collaboration.
The Society also extended its appreciation to Vice Chairman Shri Praveen Patel and Secretary Shri Krishna Pujara Ji for their wholehearted support and commitment to organising and coordinating the event. The dedicated efforts of the Executive Committee members were also recognised as an important contribution to its success.
A special highlight of the evening was the presence of Shri C. B. Patel, Founder and former Chairman of SPMS, whose vision, dedication and longstanding service have played an important role in shaping the organisation over the years.
SPMS also expressed its gratitude to its patrons for their generous sponsorship and continued support, which helped make the prestigious celebration possible.
The event provided an opportunity for the Indian diaspora to reflect on Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s 25-year journey in public life and the significance of his leadership in India’s national and international engagement. It further reaffirmed the importance of strengthening India–UK relations and fostering unity, cultural identity and community participation among the global Indian diaspora.
The celebration was a fitting occasion to recognise this milestone while acknowledging the collective efforts of the Society’s leadership, patrons and supporters.
A statement from SPMS said:
