London, 2025: Sanskruti Centre for Cultural Excellence proudly presented the International Gita Mahotsav 2025 at the Nehru Centre, London, honouring the sacred day of the revelation of the Bhagavad Gita. The event celebrates the transformational dialogue between Shri Krishna and Arjuna, an eternal guide that has illuminated countless minds across millennia. This year’s Mahotsav brings together music, dance, monologue, and spoken word to embody the Gita’s universal messages of clarity, duty, courage, and inner strength. Curated by Dr. Ragasudha Vinjamuri and Sushil Rapatwar, the programme offers a deeply thoughtful and artistically rich journey into the philosophy and emotional depth of the Gita.

Anchoring the event are reflections from distinguished speakers including Major Munish Chauhan (British Army); Brahm Bodhi Verma, Founder and President of the Gita Global Family and Head of the Bhagavad Dharma Spiritual Order, who is a respected spiritual leader, author, and profound thinker.

Under his visionary leadership, the Gita Global Family has expanded through initiatives such as Gita Global Gurukul Schools, Gita Global Publications, and the upcoming Gita Dham, a sanctuary envisioned as a temple and centre for culture, art, and poverty alleviation. His teachings emphasise personal growth, empowerment, and purposeful living rooted in the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Also addressing the audience are Ritesh Nigam (Mental Health Advocate); Dr Lata Govada (Imperial College Scientist); and Sushil Rapatwar, whose acclaimed mono-action Yuyutsu explores the moral dilemmas of Kurukshetra. Together, their insights connect the ancient wisdom of the Gita with contemporary themes of conscience, resilience, and inner transformation.

Complementing the speakers is a vibrant spectrum of artistic interpretations presented by Dr Sreerekha Pillai, Dr Ragasudha Vinjamuri, Lakshmi Aveen, Manju Sunil, and Roja Erukula. Through expressive movement, classical and contemporary choreography, melody, cross-cultural reflections, and theatrical portrayals, the performers bring the characters and emotions of the Kurukshetra narrative to life. Their creative presentations highlight the Gita’s enduring teachings on duty, self-mastery, moral courage, and the triumph over inner struggles, reinforcing its relevance as a guiding light in the modern world.
