New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh home minister Narottam Mishra has claimed that actors Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah and lyricist Javed Akhtar are “members of the Tukde Tukde gang’s sleeper cell”.

“शबाना आजमी‌, नसीरुद्दीन शाह जैसे लोग टुकड़े-टुकड़े गैंग के स्लीपर सेल के एजेंट है जो सिर्फ भाजपा शासित राज्यों में हुई घटनाओं पर ही हल्ला मचाते हैं, जबकि कांग्रेस शासित राजस्थान और झारखंड जैसे राज्यों में हो रही घटनाओं पर मौन रहते हैं। अब ऐसे लोगों की कलई खुल चुकी हैं। pic.twitter.com/fPpaTLKbzx

People like Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah are the agents of sleeper cell of Tukde-Tukde gang who create ruckus only on incidents that happened in BJP ruled states, while keeping silent on what is happening in Congress ruled states like Rajasthan and Jharkhand. Now the eyes of such people have been opened.”

He accused them of not condemning the murder of a tailor in Rajasthan’s Udaipur city and the recent incident of a woman set ablaze in Jharkhand, and said this reflects their “cheap mentality”.

“Actually, people like Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar and Naseeruddin Shah, among others, are all members of the Tukde Tukde gang’s sleeper cell. Tell me whether she had said anything on the murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, no she didn’t,” the minister told reporters on Friday.

“Recently, our daughter was set ablaze in Jharkhand. Has she said anything? No. If anything happens in the BJP-ruled state, then you see Naseeruddin Shah fearing about staying in the country. Then there is an award returning gang that will get active and they will shout,” he said.

This reflects their “cheap mentality”. How can they be called decent or secular? It is a matter of thought. They all are exposed, Mishra said.

Reacting sharply to the Madhya Pradesh home minister’s comment, Congress leader P Chidambaram on Sunday asked why has Mishra stopped at them and did not include Chidambaram in the list. “I had declared in Parliament that I was a member of the tukde-tukde gang,” the Congress MP said. 1. The comments are exactly what must go through the minds of millions of Indians as to why lokes of Azmi and her troup play victims of convenience and focus only on muslims yet have audacity of calling themselves secular. Frankly they should be neither seen or heard
