“JALTARANG” celebrate 75th Year of Indian Independence in Delhi in a quest to support the acid attack

UK based cultural organisation celebrated 75th Year of Indian Independence in Delhi in a quest to support the acid attack survivors and bringing awareness to the freedom of life and living by helping the women who had to bear so much physical and emotion pain with acid attacks.

On 5th August ,2022 at Triveni Kala Sangam ,New Delhi ,the event titled Mukti ,co powered by Market leading Fertiliser company Kribhco was held  showcasing Indian classical recitals with Santoor ,Tabla  ,Sarod and Regional folk ,Sarod and traditional Dravidian percussion band performance Chenda Melam various performances by percussionists representing incredible diversity of India.

Chief Guest ,Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav,Chairman of Kribhco and President of ICAS ,Ex MP (RS &LS) felicitated the avid attack survivors and Kathak Exponent Smt Geetanjali Laal for her contribution to art and culture.

Paromita Goswami ,director of Jaltarang based in London ,a corporate Proffesional in Transport for London is multiple award winner including few from House of Commons ,British Parliament for her phenomenal rise in such a short period with Jaltarang. She said “Jaltarang will curate events that promote not just Indian culture globally but also bring social awareness and stop practices against old age stigmas. Let’s bring and create incredibly diversified Indian culture and ethnicity to the world stage with a new vision. When it’s time celebrate 75th Independence,It should not be just hoisting flags or reminisce past but take the responders to move forward ,understand the great unimaginable sacrifices made by the martyrs for our country and give our future generation a better society and celebrate the diversity of India. Do we chose to call our event “Mukti” and give platform to acid atteck survivors the right to express their thoughts of liberation and empower them. “. JalTarang running a campaign to support them financially and contribute for their self employment. The NGO Chaanv Foundation was charity partner of this event.

JalTarang started just around December 2020 at the peak of Pandemic and standing today they have received support from 4 cultural wings of Ministry of India and embassies across Globe from London ,US ,Netherland,Madrid few to name.Paromita, young and dynamic is aspiring to take the organisation forward with bigger projects and earning high praises for her quality and presentations.
