Hema Malini had a harrowing experience traveling back from Mira Road to her Juhu residence after shooting for a reality show. What shocked her was that in the two-hour-long drive from Mira Road to Juhu, she didn’t spot any traffic police officer who could guide troubled Mumbaikars commuting regularly on the city’s cratered roads.
While speaking to ETimes, Hema said that the roads were in bad condition. She said, “I just can’t imagine how a pregnant woman must be travelling on these roads that are full of potholes. My concern is that of a Mumbaikar and the job of the police is to control traffic and guide those traveling by road. Today I had a first-hand experience of it.”
Further explaining her experience she added, “I really get scared to go out since there is so much traffic and chaos. In places like Delhi and even Mathura, although there is still a lot of traffic, things have been streamlined now,” She recalled that she’d been travelling on the route of Juhu to China Creek and Dahisar for years, but past experiences weren’t as difficult. She said, “We have travelled so much on these roads for shootings, but now it is very difficult. Today’s experience makes me say, Mumbai kya tha kya ho gaya hai.”(E.Times)

I’m sure she’s speaking on behalf of commuters of Mumbai however since her early days, car and two wheelers ownerships have quadrupled and infrastructure is not in line although the metros provide relief.
Mumbai attracts people from all over India and thd fity has ballooned rom my own sdays of growing up in the 1960’s

What has Bollywood done for Mumbai or india earning crores and Crores of rupees public money from films which have no moral. All stars can contribute and get the roads sorted and get tax evasion also.
Modi ji has done so much that today Indians are respected globally.
