Mahendra Kumar Ostwal and Mrs. Nitu Ostwal Honoured with Token of Appreciation at House of Lords in UK Parliament by Lord Rami Ranger

London, UK – [16 June 25] – In a moment of immense pride and international recognition, Mr. Mahendra Kumar Ostwal, Chairman of the Ostwal Group of Industries (which includes NSE-listed companies MBAPL and KPL), along with his daughter-in-law Mrs. Nitu Ostwal were jointly honoured with a Token of Appreciation at the House of Lords in the UK Parliament. The honour was presented by Lord Rami Ranger, a distinguished member of the British House of Lords, acknowledging their farreaching contributions to philanthropy, social service, and community development in India.

Mr. Mahendra Kumar Ostwal, a commerce graduate and veteran industrialist with over 40 years of experience, is a pioneer of BRP-based SSP technology in India. He is the founder of Ostwal Group of Industries, a leading agrochemical and infrastructure conglomerate known for innovation, sustainability, and rural development. The Group’s key companies — OPIL, MBAPL, and KPL — collectively have a current and upcoming production capacity exceeding two million tonnes. His vision is carried forward by his sons, CA. Pankaj Ostwal (MD) and CA. Praveen Ostwal (MD).

Their CSR initiatives are channelled through the Smt. Nirmala Devi Ostwal Seva Sansthan, established in memory of Mr. Ostwal’s late wife. The trust has:

  • Conducted over 100 health and eye camps
  • Supported 5,000+ students and 15+ schools
  • Distributed 51,000+ food packets during COVID-19
  • Planted over 40,000 trees, developed green zones, and supported water conservation

The event also honoured the significant contributions of Mrs. Nitu Ostwal, a dedicated social leader and daughter-in-law of Mr. Ostwal. She currently holds several prominent roles, including:

  • Jury Member at the Family District Court in Bhilwara, Rajasthan
  • Former Chairperson of the JITO Women’s Wing, Bhilwara
  • Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
  • National Secretary of the Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal — a widespread organisation active across India and Nepal, comprising over 525 branches and more than 60,000 women members.

Her contributions span multiple domains, reflecting a deep commitment to community welfare and environmental stewardship. She was awarded the “World Record Star 2020” for spreading positivity during the COVID-19 pandemic and honoured as the Style Icon of Bhilwara (2018) by NIFD. She has organised numerous blood donation and medical aid camps, and has led extensive plantation drives, with over 100,000 trees planted across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and other states. Actively involved in infrastructure development for the Jain community, she has also arranged books, stationery, and food kits for underprivileged children. In addition, she regularly conducts motivational seminars for students and oversees the provision of food and water for birds and animals, emphasising her holistic approach to service. Lord Rami Ranger, while presenting the honours, stated: “Mr. Mahendra Ostwal and Mrs. Nitu Ostwal exemplify a rare blend of industrial leadership and heartfelt social commitment. Their efforts have transformed lives, inspired communities, and reflect values that transcend borders.”
