Sharing His Journey
Over three decades later, Jyoti Bhardwaj shares his experiences and realisations through the publication of two books. His recent talk at VHP UK was met with great enthusiasm. The audience eagerly inquired about his books and posed questions about meditation and the challenges of activating kundalini. The evening was a resounding success, enhanced by refreshments provided by the Ilford Hindu centre.
Q: What sparked your spiritual journey and inspired you to write this book?
Jyoti Bharadwaj: My journey began with the freedom my parents gave me to explore life on my own terms. This ignited a hunger within me to understand more about our existence. I sought answers to questions like: Why are we here? What is our purpose? What happens after we die? Is reincarnation real? What is consciousness? These questions led me on a 30-year quest for deeper understanding.
Q: What can readers expect to find in “The Source, The Creation, and Life”?
Jyoti Bharadwaj: The book chronicles my three-decade-long spiritual journey, including the practices and teachings that have guided me. Readers will discover detailed meditation techniques, such as breath meditation and single-point concentration, and exercises related to the chakra system. The book also addresses the challenge of balancing spiritual practice with everyday life and overcoming daily obstacles.
Q: Why should someone read this book? What sets it apart from other spiritual guides?
Jyoti Bharadwaj: This book is for those genuinely seeking answers to profound life questions. It’s not just another guide to spiritual success; it’s a deeply personal account that emphasises the importance of personal experience and dedication. The insights and techniques shared have been honed over decades and are designed to help readers achieve true inner peace and stillness.
Q: Can you share some key insights from your journey?
Jyoti Bharadwaj: One significant insight is that meditation truly begins when thoughts cease. Initially, I struggled with the constant flow of thoughts, but through years of practice and guidance from a teacher, I learned to transcend these mental barriers. Achieving stillness and neutrality is crucial. Our physical, emotional, and mental bodies are temporary, and true spiritual progress requires understanding this impermanence.
Q: What message do you hope to convey to your readers?
Jyoti Bharadwaj: I want readers to understand that the ultimate purpose of life is not material wealth but inner peace and self-realisation. Despite the distractions of modern life, achieving stillness and neutrality is possible. It requires dedication, the right guidance, and a willingness to let go of ego and expectations which can be achieved through the ‘Grace’ of your teacher (Guru). However, this journey is everybody’s own personal experience to cherish.
Jyoti Bhardwaj’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance, self-discovery, and the quest for a deeper understanding of life. His journey from Kenya to Silicon Valley and beyond continues to inspire and guide others in their own searches for meaning and purpose.

This was a good talk, a different angle to show a deeper understanding of human mind, interaction with others in the society and coming to terms with a path of neutrality. Question is, how can one reconcile with the demands of modern life when one generation wants the next do better
