17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention will be held during 8 -10 January 2023 at Indore in Madhya Pradesh, India. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) celebrates the Indian diaspora around the world and commemorates the contribution of the Overseas Indian population towards India’s progress. The theme of the 17th PBD is “Diaspora: Reliable Partners for India’s Progress in Amrit Kaal”.

All the Indian diaspora members are invited to participate in 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention and avail the following facilities:

  • You can avail an early bird discount of 20% on registration charges, if you register before 30th November 2022.
  • Delegates/participants will get priority in visa appointments.
  • Ministry has approved waiving of Visa fee for PIOs visiting India to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, thus the Visa will be issued on Gratis basis.
  • The failure of payment gateway services on the PBD portal was taken up with the banks concerned. The banks are making all efforts to ensure trouble-free registration and payment on the PBD portal.
  • For the accommodation: room rates have been reduced by the Indian Government for the delegates/ participants.

MP State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) has also taken steps to address complaints regarding the difficulty in booking on its accommodation portal. Additional payment gateway services have been added to ensure higher success with payments. MP Tourism is also providing 24/7 support with Helpline Number (+91- 731-2444404) and WhatsApp Support (+91-9893908123) for accommodation queries.

  • The package of special discounted prices for PBD attendees would not be available beyond second week of December 2022 and the State would release the rooms to general public if the bookings by prospective PBD attendees do not pick up substantially. You may appreciate that December-January is a high tourist season in India so the hotels would not keep rooms blocked for long.
