Last long weekend, Marathi Ladies UK group organised a Festive Photo Contest.
Participants were asked to share their photos in Traditional Maharashtrian Costumes and wearing traditional Maharashtrian Nose Ring called “Nath”.
The competition was widely received with enthusiasm from the Maharashtrian diaspora based in the UK. The competition had a Free entry. Over 60 enthusiastic ladies sent their entries for the Photo contest decked up in the best traditional wear. Once all the entries were received, the competition commenced from 29th August 2020. The Photos were made available to all participants and their friends and family for voting.

After two days of exciting voting on the individual photos by friends and family – the Voting came to an end 30th August 2020 midnight. The winners were selected based on the highest number of genuine profile Likes by friends and family. The winners of the Nathicha Nakhra 2020 contest were: Winner: Mrs Ketaki Ghodke, 1st Runner Up: Mrs Chaitrali Deshpande, 2nd Runner Up: Mrs Prerna Puranik Saney. All the winners received wonderful prizes sponsored by our respected and supportive Sponsors. The event received amazing feedback from all the participants and their friends & family. The event was a grand success and Marathi Ladies UK Team has received scores of new enquiries for similar such fun activities and events.
