“In 2019, floods affected many parts of India, especially the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, Orissa, and Kerala. Sewa International’s team, with the help of local volunteers, worked to offer immediate relief (supplying food, medicines, clothing, first aid kits etc.), and take part in rescue operations.
Following the immediate relief and rescue operations, with generous funds from our donors, Sewa International has rebuilt classrooms, repaired toilets, replaced classroom doors/windows, and got the school playground ready to be used again. Money has been used to repair as well as provide new furniture. Education kits (backpacks, books, stationery) have been supplied to many schools in North Karnataka.
