Pakistan has played a “double game” with the United States for years, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley has alleged, saying it is unacceptable to the Trump administration.
Haley came out in support of President Donald Trump’s decision to block USD 255 million military aid to Pakistan.
“There are clear reasons for this. Pakistan has played a double game for years,” Haley told reporters at a new conference at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday.
“They (Pakistanis) work with us at times, and they also harbour the terrorists that attack our troops in Afghanistan. That game is not acceptable to this administration,” Haley said.
The Trump Administration expects far more co-operation from Pakistan in the fight against terrorism, she said.

Haley said the aid issue is connected solely to Pakistan’s harbouring of terrorists.

Why should USA give so much money to a rich nation like Pakistan?
Pakistan has lost its moral responsibility as a nation state long time ago, a country created on religious divide at the behest of some British civil servants who thought it would be a good idea to keep a buffer nation as part of the Great Game between the Russian and British Empire. This resulted into deaths of millions from both sides and continuing geo-political tension in the region not to mention rise of terrorists groups harboured by PAK. The people of Pakistan are the ones who endure the military might who manipulate them with the help of the mullahs and pay con on all sides. Stopping money to such a monster will be a great idea and they should impose North Korea style sanctions which will make the populace angry enough to start a revolution and throw out the rulers. During one of my travels a fellow train passenger who loved Bollywood on a Quetta-Lahore service mentioned sarcastically that in Pakistan ‘awaam amir hai aur sarkar garib’ meaning the People are Rich but the Government is Poor. They all dreamed their country becoming like India
