Goa : GFP to launch anti-drug youth squads

Panaji: In an effort to contribute to the crackdown on the drug menace in the state, Goa Forward Party (GFP) announced on Thursday that it would launch youth squads in Saligao and Siolim.

The initiative follows the death of two tourists during the Independence Day weekend. They are suspected to have died of drug overdose.

 “We will go to the root of this menace to save the youth from falling prey to drugs and losing their lives. Our youth squads will be driven by volunteers who are youth of Goa. We want them to come forward and help us put an end to the drug menace in Goa,” said GFP chief spokesperson Trajano D’Mello.

  1. Goa is a lovely place. There are bad people everywhere , So some are there as well.We spent two weeks in Goa and fully enjoyed without any fear of any kind.Strongly recommend any body to go and enjoy the place.
