The take home message was that if you need help all you need to do is ring the local Talking Therapies team or email them: 0300 555 1220 or email  rdb.psychology@nhs.net. The service also provides interpreters if required.

Dr Anju Gupta and Dr Jyoti Sood held an interactive session on diabetes emphasizing the need for a healthy diet and exercise in the control of diabetes. People with diabetes should have an annual health check so that any likely complications from diabetes could be identified early and treated.

After the talks, people were encouraged to visit tables where further information on these topics was available from the GPs. There were also separate tables for exercise and yoga where people could find out about local programs.  In addition a separate table on TB was set up to provide information as TB is an important health problem among people from the Indian sub continent.
